Partnership with parents

At GDN we feel we can best meet the needs of individual children by working closely with their parents/carers. We will help and support you and your family so that your child adapts to nursery life quickly and happily.

The nursery seeks to develop partnerships between parents/carers and staff based on mutual trust and respect for each other and the sharing of information and knowledge for the benefit of all the children in our care.

The staff in our baby and toddler room will talk to you about your child's day at nursery but will also give you written feedback in a daily diary which you are asked to use to communicate information back to the nursery.

In the 3-5 year room we know that parents like to have a permanent record of their child's education, so we produce a written report for each child in the term before they leave us to start school.
