Illness

Please keep unwell children at home during illness. Do not bring an unwell or infectious child to nursery with temperatures, sickness, diarrhoea etc. Only prescribed medicines will be given to the children (excluding teething gel).

Clothing

0-2 years - A complete change of clothes plus nappies, creams, wipes etc should be provided in a changing bag.
2-5 years - Soft shoes for indoors. These can be left at the nursery, or brought daily. A change of clothes is recommended in case of 'accidents'.
All ages – As outdoor play is encouraged throughout the year, appropriate clothes and accessories to suit the weather conditions should be included – e.g. hats and mitts for cold weather, waterproofs, and wellies for rainy days and sun hats and sun screen to guard against the few days of sunshine we see in Glassford.

Messy activities, such as painting and glueing, play a large part in expressive play. Please keep this in mind when dressing your child for nursery, although aprons are worn, mess cannot always be avoided.

Toys

Please ensure that your child does not bring personal toys to the nursery. We fully understand that some children may like them as a comfort but sharing toys becomes difficult if children bring their own favourites. And if that special toy is broken or damaged….!

Parking

The nursery has its own private car park. Please drive slowly and with great care at all times. Please park with consideration, not at the front door. This not only makes access for the nursery difficult for other nursery users but access must be provided for the emergency services, at all times.

People using the car park do so at their own risk. Glassford Day Nursery accepts no responsibility for injury or damage to persons, vehicles or loss of property in the car park.

Change of Personal Details

It is extremely important that the Nursery is kept up to date with any changes to your personal details. Should you change your address, mobile or home telephone numbers, employment, we need to know how to contact you in an emergency.
